What is an Associate?
An Associate is a member of a team who collaborate together to ensure that the qualification delivery and assessment is as smooth as possible. This can be anything from building and developing the qualifications to supporting in the Learner examinations.
Why do we need Associates?
NEBDN Associates play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of our Dental qualifications and exams. Whilst ensuring that Providers are getting the correct support and high standard of qualifications for delivery to Learners.
The knowledge from our Associates is paramount to ensuring we are providing the most up to date techniques and consistency throughout NEBDN.
NEBDN rely on Associates throughout the year, which is why our priority is to engage with you and keep you informed. We think it’s important to share with you the value of your work and the positive affects this has on Learners and the successful progression and future of NEBDN.

NEBDN Associates are not permanently employed by NEBDN. Joining NEBDN in one of the Associate roles means you will be able to fit this around your other personal and professional commitments – making an Associate position a great opportunity to support flexibly, although successfully completing all work accepted and allocated to yourself. Being an Associate also means you will benefit from:
- Work alongside your other commitments
- Contribute to the Qualification development and Examinations of Learners
- Working for a charitable Awarding Organisation
At all times in your Associate role NEBDN will expect the following:
- Professional conduct throughout all assignments
- Contribution and attendance to relevant Associate training and updates
- Must not discuss any confidential work
- Must not be working with any NEBDN Learners whilst partaking in Associate assignments
- Must not subcontract any work once given to yourself
- Working under the supervision of NEBDN departments
All Associates are paid for their roles when they support. All payments are through payroll and claims are to be made through our Payroll system.
How do I become an Associate?
If you wish to be considered for any future roles, please email your interest to engagement@nebdn.org where your data will be stored on file for 12 months.
