NEBDN is launching new CPD courses
NEBDN is excited to announce its launching a new platform later this year for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses. CPD is a strict requirement of the General Dental Council (GDC) for all registered dental professionals in the UK.
CPD is measured in a 5-year cycle of 50 hours verifiable CPD that must be completed, with at least 10 hours completed every 2 years.
NEBDN’s new CPD courses will be available to purchase through their website later this year and will give dental nurses the opportunity to purchase an annual 12-month membership.
What courses will we offer?
- 8 Essential CPD courses – dental nurses (complemented by a suite of non-clinical enrichment courses)
- Dental Nurse Refresher course – those who are looking to get back into work
- Educator CPD courses – assessors and internal quality assurance (IQA)
These new CPD courses cover those starting out as a newly qualified dental nurse, dental nurses who may have taken time off for maternity leave or taken a career break (NEBDN’s refresher course does not gain access to the GDC register, it’s for CPD only) and our educator course offers CPD for those in assessor and IQA roles.
More information will be shared on our website and social pages over the coming months.
