End-Point Assessment journey for Learners

What is End-Point Assessment?
End-Point Assessment (EPA) is the final assessment component of the Dental Nurse Integrated Apprenticeship. Learners registered before 30 June 2025 will take a Structured Clinical Assessment (SCA) as part of their EPA and Learners registered on the NEBDN Apprenticeship from 1 July 2025 onwards, the EPA will take the format of an internal Exam Board paperwork exercise. This review process includes a ratification process to confirm all elements of the Apprenticeship have been completed successfully.
There is no input from Learners at this final EPA stage.
