Assessment Delivery Officer

The Role

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Assessment Delivery Officer to join our team on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Assessment Delivery Team Lead, you’ll play a central role in ensuring our assessments run smoothly from start to finish – delivering a seamless experience for centres, learners, and examiners alike.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of NEBDN’s assessments, including organising and administering examinations across our full qualification portfolio, providing centres with the guidance they need to admit learners, assisting with exam paper production and marking processes, supporting the timely release of results and award of certificates, and handling learner appeals in line with correct procedures. You’ll also contribute to the development of new assessment methods and attend committee meetings when required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who brings strong administrative experience (ideally in an educational environment), excellent communication and IT skills, and a real commitment to getting things right. You’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working flexibly including some evenings and weekends, and building great relationships with colleagues and stakeholders alike.

Finance Officer

The Role

We’re looking for a detail-focused and experienced Finance Officer to join our team on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate running of NEBDN’s day-to-day financial operations, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders to the highest standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for accurately processing financial transactions in line with NEBDN’s policies and procedures, maintaining the day-to-day accounting system, processing purchase orders and invoices, and reconciling supplier accounts. You’ll also support the preparation of BACs payment runs, handle expense processing and credit card receipts, assist with month-end and year-end audit preparation, cover credit control as required, and help create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures. You’ll also prepare financial reports and analysis when needed and contribute to the wider work of the NEBDN team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated finance professional with a minimum AAT Level 3 qualification (working towards or having achieved Level 4), along with solid hands-on experience in a similar role. You’ll need strong working knowledge of accounting software – particularly Sage – as well as excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.

Experience in a charity, not-for-profit, or educational setting is highly valued, as is familiarity with expense claim platforms and credit control processes.
