Marketing & Design Assistant

The Role

We’re looking for a creative and organised Marketing and Design Assistant to join our team in a hybrid role. Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in designing content and supporting the delivery of NEBDN’s marketing, communications, and design activity, helping to ensure consistent and engaging digital campaigns across both internal and external channels.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll support the day-to-day delivery of marketing and communications activity across the organisation, assisting with the creation, scheduling, and coordination of video, digital and print content. This will include supporting social media activity, website updates, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing campaigns, as well as helping to maintain brand consistency across a wide range of materials.

You’ll assist with the production of marketing assets such as brochures, banners, presentations, videos, and promotional materials, while also supporting the organisation and delivery of events and staff engagement activities. The role will involve coordinating communication schedules and calendars, monitoring marketing data and performance, maintaining shared inboxes, and working collaboratively with teams across the organisation to provide design, proofreading, and branding support where required.

You’ll also contribute to the preparation of reports, dashboards, and supporting materials for meetings and wider organisational activity, while assisting the wider Marketing and Communications team in delivering projects and campaigns to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated and creative individual with experience in a marketing, communications, or design-based role. You’ll have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload across multiple projects and deadlines.

You’ll need strong written and verbal communication skills, along with experience using digital design and content creation tools. Experience supporting social media platforms, website content management systems, and marketing campaigns would be advantageous, as would familiarity with branding, proofreading, and content scheduling. Experience using design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, or Canva is desirable, and video editing skills would also be an advantage.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative, and confident working with colleagues across different departments, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute positively to team initiatives.
